Dickie's Wedding
The Fur Balls descended on the wedding in the usual dribs and drabs with feeble excuses of delayed flights. Charlie made a somewhat tardy appearance and was acquainted with the Fur Engine for the first time, having been out of the country for the last 5 months. Despite only being in the UK for about 36 hours Charlie left an impressive trail of destruction in his wake. Mounting the beast for the first time, despite still not having a licence to drive him, and at this point in the evening being barely capable of speech, he decided that it was an opportune moment to turn Dennis around so as to be ready to drive him away the following morning. The manoueuvre was compounded by our inability to figure out how to turn on the headlights and so he proceeded to reverse into the marquee, drive over a stone bollard, rip off the step to the cab and finish off by driving over the bucket containing our donations from the wedding and the previous weekend. Initially amused by these antics the team were less so when they discovered a certain amount of money had blown away in the wind and that Dennis would no longer pass his MOT the following week as it was no longer possible to get into the cab. Many thanks to our mechanic for a hasty bit of welding and to a Mr C Scheisse for a donation of £100 to charity.
